โThe Profitable Part-Time Blogger program is NOW OPEN!!โ This is the ONLY blogging course I'm now recommending, because it's the best one I've ever taken. And it's not really just about blogging. She covers everything in it, really - YouTube S.E.O., working with sponsors, and more.
Before you record something new, make sure youโve planted your evergreen content.
Hereโs how to build your own mini forest of long-form and evergreen content without getting overwhelmed:
โ Start with one long-form video (YouTube, Facebook Live, or even Zoom!) โ Use that one video to create: โข 1 blog post โข 3 Reels (cut from highlights or key takeaways) โข 5 Threads posts (use punchy quotes or slides) โข 1 Pinterest pin linking to the video or blog โ Schedule it all using your favorite tool (Metricool, Later, Publer, etc.)
You donโt need a massive content plan to start seeing results. You just need one piece of meaningful content - then repurpose it like the savvy content gardener you are.

Muse Newsโฒ๐ช๐ฆข
Hi, Reader!!
Over these past couple of years, I've really been experimenting - trying different things to 1) find out what ACTUALLY works now, and 2) figure out what I actually believe and do when it comes to marketing.
I know that last one seems kinda funny - but I realized I had a problem when a client asked me why something was working.
My response?
"...I don't know, I just had a hunch I guess."
I'll never forget what she said to me,
"Welp, someday you'll be able to explain it - but for now?? Just keep working your social media magic."
Now, I can look book and explain exactly why what we tried worked for that account:
I got to know that client's followers inside and out
I BINGED her podcast, and lived in her content for 2 years - getting into the mind of that person
Instead of looking for trends to copy, I thought of ways to make her stand out
I'm really good at spotting macro-trends and jumping on them
I always have a finger on the pulse - a feeling for the "zeitgeist"
โ I always hear people say things like, "Oh, marketing just doesn't come naturally to me," or, "I'm just not a salesperson."
YOU GUYS!! NEITHER AM I!!! ๐๐
Nobody is born inherently good at marketing or sales - and every time I think of a baby tracking leads and looking at social media analytics, it makes me chuckle.
I've learned SO MUCH especially because I've been doing digital marketing for ALMOST 8 YEARS.
That's a long time!!
โ
And I also really struggled with platforms like Instagram at first.
I remember crying because I got so frustrated. I couldn't figure out why the HECK the text kept stretching on screen.
But I eventually DID figure out.
Things DID get easier - and it got to the point where it all became a lot more fun (that's the real secret to success, btw!!).
โ
These are all skills you can learnnnnn.
We should know that, right?! As current and past educators?
But we often see a growth mindset as something for our kids and students - and limited to topics like math and reading.
This goes for social media marketing and content creation, too.
โ
I realized I'd been encouraging a 'lil bit of learned helplessness by talking and acting in a way that suggests that my readers, listeners, and followers aren't completely capable of doing what I do and talk about.
Honestly, all of yall could blow me out of the water the moment you decided to REALLY commit to this.
โ
So over these past two years (and especially over the last 6 months), I've been racking my brain to be able to break down exactly HOW what I do works - and WHY it works.
How I can help sellers and teacherpreneurs get more of every post, instead of always just having to post more.
...and can I tell you a secret about this whole evergreen course I've been promoting??
It does touch on content repurposing, social media, and all that.
But it's also my sneaky little way of getting you all visible and driving traffic from YouTube. hehe!!
๐คญ๐คญ
THIS is the new era of search and S.E.O.
S.E.O. doesn't just mean Google.
Social media posts are searchable.
In fact, people are searching ON social media now - and most of Gen Z has already been doing that since 2021, 2022.
โEven this Facebook Group post really illustrates how quickly things are changing in the seller and search space
I don't want to share it without her permission - but basically, she was noticing some referral traffic from ChatGPT to her TPT store.
All of the comments said:
"I bet someone was asking it for help finding certain things or resources etc and ChatGPT sometimes just pulls things from websites. Maybe it was something like that"
"Same! What everyone said above. Chat gbt is a search engine"
"Someone asked ChatGPT for a subject, and then ChatGPT advised them with a direct store link"
โ
It's a different world than it was even 2 years ago.
โ
You need:
A TRUE COMMUNITY of repeat buyers who know, like, and trust you
A way to speak DIRECTLY to your customers and community
To get creative and better at leveraging your content - so you don't need to be online all the time
Here are the shifts Iโm seeing right now in content and creator marketing, especially for teacher sellers and personal brands:
Long-form video isnโt optional anymore. It's your shortcut to trust.โ YouTube is quietly becoming the most powerful platform for evergreen discovery and relationship-building.
And even on Instagram and Facebook, weโre seeing a shift toward longer Reels and Lives that tell a fuller story.
What to try: โ Pick 1 topic your ideal customer always asks about โ Record a 5 to 10 minute explainer video (no fancy editing needed) โ Upload it to YouTube or Facebook, then clip it into 3 Reels โ Use the transcript to create a blog post and newsletter โ Let AI help you repurpose the rest
Evergreen is the new viral.โ Forget chasing the algorithm every day. The savviest sellers I know are planting evergreen content that works for them while they sleep.
Think rankable blog posts, searchable YouTube videos, podcast episodes, Pinterest pins, and yes, even auto-reposting seasonal Reels.
Ask yourself: โ Whatโs one post or product I promote every year around this time? โ How can I schedule that to go out again this week?
Depth is performing better than dopamine.โ Clickbait and trendy sounds might still get views, but depth is what drives clicks and sales.
Instead of trying to entertain everyone, focus on being useful, helpful, or human to the right people.
This is the shift from content creator to content steward, and your future customers can feel the difference.
โ ๐ Trending Topics
Don't know what to post? I've got you!!
Every week, I'll include some ideas that are trending right now.
If these work for your brand or niche, integrate them into your content strategy so you can ride that wave of virality.
Here are some trending topics and subjects you can integrate into your approach for more timely content:
โ
๐ Summer Mode Has Entered the Chat
โ Teachers are mentally checked out but still physically in the classroom โ Theyโre looking for creative ways to survive the final stretchโ โ This is a great time to promote: โ Low-prep printables with a โsummer vibesโ twist โ Memory books, reflection prompts, and wrap-up activities โ Classroom countdowns, chill SEL check-ins, and indoor games
โ
๐ Graduation, Promotion & Transitions
โ It's peak time for student goodbyes, ceremonies, and end-of-year reflection โ Teachers are helping kids process big changes while celebrating wins โ This is a great time to promote: โ Editable graduation certificates and keepsake awards โ โThen vs. Nowโ projects or digital photo slideshows โ Reflective journal prompts or time capsule activities
โ
๐๏ธ Evergreen Scheduling Season
โ Smart creators are scheduling next yearโs content right nowโ โ Think Pinterest pins, seasonal emails, and blog posts that work year after year โ This is a great time to promote: โ Reusable seasonal bundles (editable templates = bonus!) โ Rankable blog posts and auto-reposting Reels โ Any resource thatโs timeless and tied to a specific month or event
โ
๐งโโ๏ธ Teacher Reset Content is Trending
โ Thereโs a big shift happening in content that serves the teacher, not just the student โ Creators are leaning into reflection, boundaries, and sustainable systems โ This is a great time to promote: โ End-of-year journaling prompts or personal planning kits โ Biz growth goal-setting tools or reflection sheets โ Tips for mental and physical recharging โ
๐ฐ Social Scoop
Instagram
Keywords > Hashtagsโ If youโve been stressing about the perfect hashtag combo โ good news. You can stop. Instagram is leaning harder into keyword-based discovery, so your caption copy and on-screen text matter way more than a string of tags at the end. โ Use plain-language phrases your people are actually searching for โ Speak to a person, not the algorithm โ Include real-world language that buyers use when describing their problem or situation Your content is more likely to land in front of the right people when it sounds like a post written by a human for another human.
โ
Threads
New โTrending Nowโ Tab = Content Goldmineโ Threads is surfacing trending topics based on what people are actually talking about right now. โ Skim this for post inspo โ think: newsjacking, hot takes, or funny commentary โ If you're creating content that aligns with a niche convo, post it and use the relevant phrase in your first sentence โ Want to build your audience without showing your face? Threads is still your best bet
โ
Facebook
Quiet on the surface, but groups are still goldโ No major new features rolled out this week, but I'm noticing a huge uptick in engagement in client groups using evergreen-style discussion posts and auto-scheduled threads. โ Pin your welcome posts โ Reschedule last yearโs high-performing May prompts โ Donโt be afraid to repeat your top-performing polls or carousels
โ
LinkedIn
Repurpose Your Long-Form Content Hereโ Not just for resumes anymore. Repurposing your podcast transcript, blog post, or a YouTube script into a personal story format post on LinkedIn? โ Massive engagement potential โ Especially powerful if you support teachers, admins, coaches, or PD
โ
TikTok
SEO Is Taking Over TikTokโ Captions are getting longer, keywords are getting smarter, and creators are doubling down on how-tos. โ Use clear text on screen with your title (like: โ3 End of Year Tips for Teachersโ) โ Say the phrase in your video and include it in your caption โ Add subtitles if possible โ TikTok is scanning everything for search
โ
Google
Search Is Prioritizing People-First Contentโ Google is slowly walking back the intense AI prioritization. โ Blog posts written in your voice and backed by experience are ranking better than AI-fluff โ Want help turning your Threads into rankable blog content? Hire me โ this is literally what I do best
โ
YouTube
Mid-Length Video Is Winningโ Videos in the 5โ8 minute range are performing better in many educational niches than super short or hour-long uploads. โ Think quick tips, lesson walk-throughs, or evergreen resource demos โ One solid video โ a month of content if you repurpose it right
โ
Bluesky
No big updates this week โ but keep watching! Theyโre testing new ways to push video content, and it could turn into another repurposing opportunity soon.
