โœ‚๏ธ Quick Win Snippet for Sellers

You donโ€™t need more content this week โ€” you just need to rediscover whatโ€™s already working.

Hereโ€™s a quick trick: โ€‹
Pick your top-performing Instagram post from the last 90 days and give it a second life in a completely different format.

โœ” Turn a carousel into a short script for a face-to-camera Reel
โœ” Record a voice memo explaining the main idea, then add B-roll + captions = new video
โœ” Copy the caption and turn it into a mini blog post or email
โœ” Use the hook or first slide as a Threads post or tweet
โœ” Drop it into Canva and turn it into a Pinterest pin (or Pinterest Idea pin!)

The good thing about all of these platforms and tools copying each other, is that we don't need for every single new post to be original. You can reuse what's worked, or is still working!!

โ€‹

Muse Newsโ›ฒ๐Ÿชž๐Ÿฆข

Hi, Reader!

Weโ€™ve been taught to treat our content and marketing like a garden.

Tend it every day.

Prune. Water. Post. Repeat.

"Stay consistent."

"Value AND volume."

And, there IS some truth to that.

The more you post, the better you'll get, and the more data you'll have in a shorter amount of time.

But for most sellers, daily posting is just not sustainable.

It's not even realistic if you have a full-time job outside of your business!

So what if, instead of planting a garden you constantly have to maintainโ€ฆ

You started growing a forest?

๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ

Thatโ€™s what this episode is about.

We're building a system for our social media marketing now!!

โ€‹

Most people start projects like blogs, YouTube channels, TPT stores and Etsy shops for the dream of eventual passive income.

They work long hours for a long amount of time, whispering to themselves, "...someday this will pay off..."

Is this you?

If so, I really want you shift your perspective on social media, marketing and business.

On one hand, it's really wise to know that most success is not overnight - or even fast

โ€‹(with the except of this creator who's attracted over 95,000 followers in a week!! but he's an outlier)โ€‹

But if you're NOT getting success like that overnight, or if you aren't even getting sales immediately from your in-time posts?

Then it's time to rethink your social media marketing strategy.

Eventually, you really do want to have:

  • One long-form video platform - a video podcast, YouTube channel, or weekly live show, ideally
  • A website - where everything you have will (eventually) live
  • At least one short-form video platform - though these days, you can throw the same video up in like 4 places!!
  • At least one text-based platform - this could be Twitter/X, Threads, LinkedIn, or a Facebook Page/Profile
  • At least one Facebook Group - I've been saying that for years and I'm standing on that lol

But obviously, that's a lot when you're new - or if/when you're not making much money yet.

So right now??

For most of you?

You need a social media marketing system that's working when youโ€™re busy, burnt out, or offline completely.

You also need one that respects the seasons of life, and the season of life that you specifically are in.

In this week's episode of the Social Media Magic podcast, we talk about:

โœ” What farmers and foresters know that marketers forget
โœ” Why some of your best content should be reposted every year (yes, even Instagram posts!!)โ€‹
โœ” How to work with the seasons - in your life and in your biz - so you stop burning out, or starting then stopping
โœ” And why itโ€™s okay to do less, as long as itโ€™s planned that way

This is also your friendly reminder that you donโ€™t need to create new content every day.

You just need to plant the right trees.

๐ŸŒฒ Evergreen content that can be reused, repurposed, and reposted anytime
๐ŸŒณ Long-form content that gets clipped, repurposed, and reused
๐Ÿ‚ Seasonal posts that get re-shared year after year
๐Ÿ“… Annual posts for holidays, awareness months, and recurring themes for your niche specialty
โณ Timely posts so you can ride the waves of trends and use the technique of newsjacking
โš™๏ธ All of these elements become part of a system (like an ecosystem) that supports you and your business

If youโ€™ve been feeling like content is a lot right nowโ€ฆ this is your permission slip to step back and systematize your social media.

Consider:

  1. Do you have a plan?
  2. Is the plan based on best practices?
  3. Are you implementing the plan?

I'm launching something THIS WEEK to help with that!! Stay tuned... ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ”ฎ Marketing Trends and Forecasting

Here are my quick takes and observations happening now in in social media marketing.

Some are things that I'm seeing happen right now, some are upcoming trends or changes I see coming:
โ€‹

  • Reposting is officially IN.โ€‹
The smartest creators I know are re-sharing old content on purpose โ€” because it still works.
    โ€‹
And guess what? It feels new to 90% of your audience anyway.
    โ€‹
If a Reel popped off last year around this time? Post it again.
    โ€‹
If a carousel converted well? Copy/paste the caption and just tweak the CTA.
    โ€‹
If your blog post about end-of-year memory books gets traffic every April?
    โ€‹
Schedule a pin, story post, and email about it.
This isnโ€™t lazy. This is leverage.โ€‹
    โ€‹
    โ€‹
  • Short-form content fatigue is very real.โ€‹
Have you been feeling this, too?
    โ€‹
I've heard this not only from fellow creators, but also from consumers.
    โ€‹
People don't feel good about themselves after binging Reels for like 1-2 hours.
    โ€‹
But they do feel good if they've learned a micro-strategy from YouTube, or if an email they've read offers a solution to a really painful problem.
    โ€‹
People are still watching Reels and TikToks, FOR sure. But as we all get more mindful about our social media consumption, we need to get more creative about what we're posting.
    โ€‹
We need to make sure our posts aren't just noise, but that the content itself is actually getting people's results. Before they even pay us or follow us.
    โ€‹
Ironically, that's exactly what gets us more followers and sales.โ€‹
    โ€‹
    โ€‹
  • The โ€œlook at meโ€ era is over. This is the โ€œcome with meโ€ era.โ€‹
People are tired of being told what to do by โ€œexperts" and "influencers"
    โ€‹
They want to be invited into something.
    โ€‹
They want to join a journey.
    โ€‹
And they want to follow people who are in it with them.
    โ€‹
This is showing up in everything from story-driven Reels and vlog-style videos to casual behind-the-scenes email newsletters (hey, Substack!!).
    โ€‹
โ€‹Are you following my own TpT experiment on Substack yet?โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ˆ Trending Topics

Don't know what to post? I've got you!!

Every week, I'll include some ideas that are trending right now.

If these work for your brand or niche, integrate them into your content strategy so you can ride that wave of virality.

Here are some trending topics and subjects you can integrate into your approach for more timely content:

โ€‹

๐Ÿฆ May Mood = Summer Brainโ€‹
โ€” Teachers are DONE-done and looking for easy wins

โœ” โ€œMay Mayhemโ€ classroom management tools or countdown bundles

โ€‹

๐ŸŽ Teacher Appreciation Week is Coming (May 6โ€“10)โ€‹
โ€” Itโ€™s last minute central for admins, parents, and room parents
โ€” Teachers are also creating appreciation projects for coworkers and support staff
โ€” This is a great time to promote:
โœ” Printable thank-you cards, gift tags, and candy bar wrappers
โœ” Staff shoutout stations, bulletin board kits, or themed dress-up ideas
โœ” Templates for student-created appreciation books or videos

โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ฆ End-of-Year Decluttering & Classroom Pack-Upโ€‹
โ€” Teachers are organizing, sorting, and purging everythingโ€‹
โ€” Theyโ€™re looking for printable systems to help streamline the process
โ€” This is a great time to promote:
โœ” Inventory checklists, classroom pack-up guides, and label kits
โœ” Digital drag-and-drop โ€œnext yearโ€ setup files for Google Drive
โœ” Summer storage bin labels and editable documentation tools

โ€‹

๐ŸŒป Summer Curriculum Planning (yes, already!!)โ€‹

โœ” Monthly learning bundles and printable unit studies
โœ” Summer curriculum samplers for new families

๐Ÿ“ฐ Social Scoop

Instagram

  • Blend Reels, Downvotes, and Lockable Postsโ€‹
Instagram is testing "Blend," a feature creating shared Reels feeds between friends, and "lockable posts," accessible only with a secret code. These features aim to deepen user engagement through personalized and exclusive content.
    โ€‹
They've also been adding the ability to "downvote" certain comments like we see on Reddit.
    โ€‹
Certain accounts also now have the ability to see the views of their non-Reel posts, right there on the grid.
    โ€‹
  • The "Edits" app is now outโ€‹
Have you used it yet? I still need to dig into it! It's basically an alternative to CapCut.
    โ€‹
  • The 2x Playback Speedโ€‹
Users can now watch Reels at 2x speed. And if you didn't already know that you can pause Reels to read what's on the screen, you can do that too!
    โ€‹
  • Voice message translation and transcriptionโ€‹
You can now see text versions of voice notes sent via Instagram DMs!

Threads

  • Posts Can Now Be Reposted to IG Stories (Easily)โ€‹
Threads quietly added a โ€œShare to Instagram Storyโ€ button - and it looks way better than screenshotting.
    โ€‹
So if youโ€™re posting micro-content or commentary on Threads, now you can double dip and cross-post it with a single click.
    โ€‹
โ€‹Come follow me on Threads, too!โ€‹
    โ€‹

Facebook

โ€‹
LinkedIn

  • No big updates this week, but go get on there!
    โ€‹
    โ€‹
    โ€‹

TikTok

  • Interactive Q&A is Expanding... And It's Becoming Pinterest??โ€‹
TikTokโ€™s Q&A feature is now available to more users - and it works across both live and regular posts.
    โ€‹
You can pin a question, film a response, and loop the convo without it getting lost in the comments.
    โ€‹
TikTok just added a Save to Collection button, making it more like Pinterest than ever.
    โ€‹

Google

  • Google Continues to Lean In to A.I. First Search
    โ€‹
AI summaries and "Perspectives" carousels are popping up more frequently in search results - especially for educational and opinion-based content.
    โ€‹
That means blog posts that sound like a real person wrote them (hire me to write your blog posts!) have a better shot at showing up.
